BK Häcken is a member-owned club. It is our members who own the club, elect the board, vote on key decisions, and help shape the future of the organization.
Being a member of BK Häcken is the highest expression of your connection to the club. Your membership shows that you stand with the yellow and black family — through highs and lows — and that you want to be part of developing BK Häcken into an even stronger club.
As a member, you have the right to influence the club by voting at the annual meeting and by submitting motions. Membership also brings you closer to the club through exclusive communication, member events, and a range of benefits — including priority access to ticket releases and special member offers.
But above all, you become part of the yellow and black family.
Membership Year
Membership in BK Häcken follows the calendar year, ending on December 31 — regardless of when during the year you join.
BK Häcken’s Annual General Meeting is held in March each year. In addition to this decision-making meeting, the club invites members to two information meetings annually — in May and November — where you can receive updates from the club, ask questions, and share suggestions with elected representatives and staff.
Membership fee
To be eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting, you must have paid your membership fee by January 10 of that year.
If you are a member of BK Häcken, you will receive a renewal notice at the end of November each year for the upcoming calendar year. A reminder will be sent in late December to those who have not yet renewed their membership.
If you would like to become a member of BK Häcken, you can apply at any time during the year for membership valid for the current calendar year, using

Annual General Meeting
All regulations regarding BK Häcken’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) are outlined in the club’s statutes.
The Board must inform members of the date, time, and location of the upcoming AGM in good time — no later than December 31 of the preceding year.
Both members and the Board may submit proposals to be addressed at the AGM. Proposals from members (motions) must be submitted to the Board no later than four weeks before the meeting.
The official notice of the AGM, along with the proposed agenda, must be sent to members by the Board at least three weeks before the meeting. The annual report, financial statement, auditors’ report, operational plan with financial projections, Board proposals, and any submitted motions with the Board’s response must be made available to members no later than two weeks before the AGM.
To be eligible to vote at the AGM, a member must:
- Turn at least 15 years old during the meeting year;
- Have been granted membership at least two months prior to the AGM; and
- Have paid any outstanding membership fees by January 10, or in accordance with §10 of the club’s statutes.
Members who are not eligible to vote still have the right to speak at the meeting.
