Felicia Schröder delivered four more goals and super sub Paulina Nyström added one in BK Häcken’s 5–0 win away against Piteå this evening. The goal-happy side now has 43 goals in twelve rounds – a perfect way to end the spring season.
- "I’m very proud of our season and how we came back after the start," says Felicia Schröder.
BK Häcken opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Aivi Luik intercepted the ball and fed Felicia Schröder, who fired a one-touch shot into the far corner with a sharp finish. Five minutes before halftime, the home side hit the post from a corner. Three minutes later, the game changed as Piteå’s Selina Henriksson was shown a red card for denying Monica Jusu Bah a clear goal-scoring chance in the box. Felicia Schröder calmly converted the penalty just before the break to make it 2–0.
Three minutes into the second half, Schröder had a good chance but shot wide. In the 53rd minute, Piteå were awarded a penalty, but Jennifer Falk came up with a fantastic save on Ásla Johannesen’s spot kick. Four minutes later, Tabby Tindell came close to making it 3–0.
As the clock ticked to the 59th minute, BK Häcken made four substitutions – Paulina Nyström, Anna Anvegård, Matilda Nildén, and Stine Sandbech entered the pitch. In the 67th minute, it was 3–0 after excellent work from Alice Bergström, who set up Schröder for her hat-trick.
With 15 minutes to go, Jóhanna Fossdalsá nearly made it 4–0 with a free kick. The fourth goal came in the 79th minute, when Stine Sandbech picked out Paulina Nyström, who struck home. Nyström continues to shine as a super sub.
In the 84th minute, Alice Bergström played in Schröder again, who rounded goalkeeper Lauren Brzykcy and slotted home her fourth goal of the night – and 15th of the OBOS Damallsvenskan season.
In the 87th minute, Aivi Luik tried her luck with a volley in the box, but her effort flew over the crossbar.
BK Häcken closed out the spring season with a dominant 5–0 victory.
