BK Häcken Meets the Stars of Tomorrow – Visiting Football Camps Across Gothenburg

Over the course of two weeks, BK Häcken is visiting football camps throughout Gothenburg. The goal is clear: to give children and young people the chance to meet their role models, strengthen ties to the local football community – and spark dreams in the next generation of players.

Meeting the dreams of young footballers

On Monday, Anna Anvegård, Paulina Nyström, and Aivi Luik visited Krokängsplan and Eriksbergs IF, where they were met by enthusiastic children and teens. On Wednesday, the journey continued to Hästerviksvallen and Hjuviks AIK, with Filip Öhman and Isak Brusberg on site. The visits included Q&A sessions, autograph signings, photos – but above all, important moments of inspiration.

-"I think it would’ve meant a lot to me as a child to see that your idols are real people – especially female role models who are professional footballers. Little Anna would have thought that was really cool. It was amazing to meet the kids and see how appreciated our visit was," says Anna Anvegård.

-"Both girls and boys showed incredible joy. I hope we could give something back – some inspiration and belief in the future."

A club from Hisingen – with responsibility across all of Gothenburg

This initiative is part of the club’s long-term commitment to social sustainability, community, and local presence. BK Häcken aims to be more than just a top-tier football club – it wants to be a natural part of Gothenburg’s entire football culture.

-"I remember so clearly how huge it was to meet your idols when you were a kid. It felt unreal – like stepping into a dream. It’s a reminder of the impact we can have off the pitch too," says Filip Öhman.

-"This was my first time doing a visit like this, and it’s an experience I won’t forget. I hope we inspired the kids and showed them that their dreams are worth believing in – no matter where you start from."

Caroline Trysberg, project manager for social sustainability, emphasizes the importance of this initiative as part of the club’s community commitment:

-"Many of the kids have never met a professional footballer before. It’s an experience they’ll carry with them for a long time. We want to show that BK Häcken isn’t just something you see on TV – we’re present, we believe in these children, and we’re a part of their everyday lives. We take that responsibility seriously," says Caroline Trysberg.

Ongoing visits – and joy that spreads

The visits will continue this week and next, with the goal of reaching as many football camps as possible – both in Hisingen and beyond.

Together with our partners Demo Group, Gevab Group, Kopparbergs, Nordic Wellness, Puma, St Jörgen Park/Gårda Johan, and Stadium, BK Häcken continues its work toward fulfilling the global health goals.
