Paulina Nyström has played 212 minutes in the OBOS Damallsvenskan this year and delivered four goals. That’s one goal every 53 minutes.
- "I have the best scoring average in the entire league. It feels good," says the 24-year-old.
Paulina Nyström has been a super sub for BK Häcken this year. In ten substitute appearances, she has contributed with four goals and one assist. In the home match against AIK on Saturday, she scored twice.
- "It felt good to score two goals last time. Scoring is my job. We're in good form and scoring a lot of goals. I'm in good form too. I just have to keep going," says Paulina Nyström.
Tomorrow evening, BK Häcken face Piteå IF away in the final match of the spring season.
- "Of course we’re expecting a win. Piteå are physically strong and tough to face, but so are we. I think we’ll have the ball quite a lot. They’ll be afraid of our attack. We just need to keep playing the way we always do. I think it’s important that every player stays present and sees where the gaps open up and plays into them. We’re training a lot on that," she says.
As it’s the last match before the break, it’s all about using up the last energy reserves.
- "We don’t need to hold anything back! Just go all in and enjoy it. It’ll be fun to travel with the team and hang out one last time before the break," says Paulina Nyström.
Her four goals in 212 minutes mean she scores one every 53 minutes.
-"I have the best scoring average in the league. It feels good. I focus on what I can control and I think I’m showing that. I hope to start soon. As a footballer, you obviously want to play as much as possible. I push hard when I get the chance," says the impact sub.
Right now, all focus is on securing three points in Piteå on Thursday night.
-"A win before the break would give us a great feeling. We want to build on what we’ve done so far. That’s really important. That’s what we’re aiming for," says Paulina Nyström.
